Three years ago, 2.4mR sailors from various countries started the initiative Action4Europe, to launch a new regatta series in Europe. Regattas belonging to Action4Europe were defined and the results were then compiled into an annual ranking.
The response from the 2.4mR community was very positive. Between 2023 and 2025, a total of 21 sailors from 495 nations competed in 12 regattas in 7 countries.
We now want to expand this and include more regattas in even more countries. Therefore, we are not defining the Action4Europe regattas in advance, but are asking all sailing clubs in Europe to organise an Action4Europe regatta. All you need to do is register on the website and the regatta will be added to the Action4Europe Calendar. The club can advertise with our logo and will receive further support.
However, the regatta will only be included in the Action4Europe Ranking. if
- at least 15 boats finish a race
- and participants from at least three nations sail.
In future Action4Europe will therefore be divided into two parts.Clubs can be included in the Calendar by registering, but there are participation requirements for the regattas in order to be included in the Ranking. Are there any participation requirements for the regattas?
There is no limit, for example, on the number of regattas per country.
We sincerely hope that we, as a continent with the world's largest number of 2.4mR sailors, we can further strengthen the shared spirit and cohesion among us under the motto
