In the best sailing conditions, intensive sailing, tactics and technique training took place at Bostalsee at the weekend - under the direction of Uwe Mares, a multiple Olympic participant. The different sail profiles were intensively checked and compared and there were interesting findings. Over dinner in a friendly atmosphere there was a stimulating discussion and open discussion about possible improvements for each sailorespsmelled.
The Saar-Lor-Lux Regatta once again stands for European internationality. With participants from 7 nations so far, this year's anniversary event is another friendly meeting of the 2.4mR sailors within the European Circuits. Favorites include:
- Titelverteiger and winner of the 2023 European rankings Urs Infanger from Switzerland
- Megan Pascoe, Grand Britannia, as reigning European champions
- Ben van Cauwenbergh, Belgien, 3rd in the 2023 European rankings
- Ulli Libor, two-time Olympic medalist,
- and of course a number of “outsiders” who also calculate their chances of winning…

In addition to the training, the supporting program for the Pfinregatta planned. As was the case last year, all participants will receive comprehensive care from arrival to departure. For the sailors arriving on Friitag there will be a cozy get-together in the club gastronomy again, the opening on Saturday with a prosecco reception will turn into a Saarland tarte flambée dinner, beer berth with snacks on the crane after the regattas, a lunch snack from the starting ship is planned on Sunday lunchtime and at the anniversary dinner the The event's evolution from a national event to a European regatta was celebrated. Anyone who has ever been to the Saar-Lor-Lux regatta, knows what Saarland hospitality means!
