The Correspondents' Hall of Fame includes those distinguished on the regattas of the European Circuit They must, or rather, are allowed to, write the reports. These reports are written by the fifth-placed sailor in the overall standings of each regatta. They are then simultaneously inducted into the Hall of Fame here.
If someone has won the trophy three times, they don't have to write the trophy the 4th, 5th, etc. time. Then it's the 6th sailor's turn.
