We're off to a very successful start in 2026. Our regatta calendar is already quite full. There are now 15 regattas in nine countries (if you include the regatta from January 2nd to 4th, 2027) – see [link/reference]. Action4Europe Calendar 2026:

New additions compared to 2025 include regattas in the Czech Republic (CZE), Spain (ESP), Great Britain (GBR), Germany GER) and Sweden (SWEThis is primarily due to the new procedure, in which we are not the ones doing the work. Action4Europe The clubs can register their own regattas, rather than having to set specific regattas.
This has created many new and exciting areas that cover previously underrepresented parts of Europe:
- Czech Republic: This will provide greater service to the Eastern European region – last year our 2.4mR friends from Ukraine also participated.
- Spain: For the first time, Spain is participating with Gran Canaria. German and Finnish tourists have already taken part in the regatta there at the turn of the year in recent years.
- Great Britain: With the former World Championship venue Poole, another inland sailing area with a British focus, including Megan Pescoe, will soon be included.
- Germany: The Alpenblick Regatta on Lake Constance is of interest to 2.4mR sailors from Central Europe and complements the regattas in northern and western Germany.
- Sweden: Ultimately, the two regattas in Sweden are aimed at the Scandinavian region.
But our first regattas in 2026 are already casting long shadows:
- French Open with 29 participants from 10 nations (starts March 6th)
- Easter Egg with 13 participants from 7 nations (starts April 10th)
- Alpenblick Regatta with 3 participants from 1 nation (starts April 24th)
This is how it should continue!!
