Regatta report: 11th edition of the Nevellüüchtregatta
The 11th edition of the Nevellüüchtregatta, in which 30 sailors from five nations took part, the positions were sailed for in excellent wind conditions over two days of racing.
In the morning, when the temperature was still in the single figures, we set off in a towboat through the Elde to the lake, and in the afternoon, when the temperature reached double figures, we returned in the same way. When we arrived at the city harbor, we got the boats ready so that we could discuss our experiences on the water over a beer while we docked.
With a northerly wind and wind speeds of up to 18 knots, a total of six exciting races were successfully held on both Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, the wind left us on Saturday, so no more races could be sailed. Despite this small restriction, the mood among the participants was consistently positive and very sociable.
After a total of six races, Ulli Libor took 1st place followed by Martin Koller in 2nd and Sabine Trömer in 3th place.

The Action4Europe However, family is not “just” about sailing, but also about being together and caring for one another. At this point I would like to thank Manuela Libor for her tireless efforts.

Like in the Action4Europe As is already customary in the family, the organizing team came up with an innovative way of awarding the daily prizes on Thursday and Friday: a kind of bingo game in which the order in which the 30 participants registered played a special role. The daily prizes were drawn from a small drum in which each sailor was given a number according to the order in which they registered, thus creating a moment of surprise for the winners.
Also, three first-time regatta sailors from the Nevellüüchtregatta and the five female participants were particularly honored.
Special thanks go to Lutz and his entire team for their great effort, which gave us a wonderful weekend.

Thanks also go to the Action4Europe family for their extraordinary helpfulness and harmonious coexistence.
I am already looking forward to the upcoming regattas
and greetings from Münster
