To all 2.4mR sailors in Europe including partners, coaches and supporters!
Easter is traditionally the festival of peace. In Europe, like in other parts of the world, we do not have peace. Perhaps it is also presumptuous to expect that mankind is capable of lasting peace.
But what we can certainly wish for is a turning away from killing, torture, rape, displacement and destruction of homes and infrastructure. In addition, we can hope for the preservation of individual freedom, incidentally a good that has only been widely recognized for a good 300 years, the days of the Enlightenment, and which is also endangered in many places in the world.
In the 2.4 we can experience and enjoy this freedom. This is also something to remember these days.
Perhaps not so well suited for sailing pleasure is the boat pictured below - but of course it is not a 2.4mR either. 🙂
