The year 2022 is coming to an end. It was a year of diverse crises – or maybe The multi crisis, which will not let go of us in the years to come. However, we are looking forward to 2023 with confidence, with a number of challenges that need to be mastered together.
- At the end of January or beginning of February, the Olympic Para Committee will probably decide whether it will be possible again Paralympic Games in sailing there. If so, the decision on the boat classes to be sailed should not be made until 2024. Whatever the outcome of the race, we will have to deal with the consequences and future-oriented conclusionsgerments for our class on how to proceed together, with or without Paralympic status.
- The Weltmeisterschaft finit in Finnland and has to be managed by as many 2.4mR sailors as possible in view of the long transport routes and increased transport costs. That won't be easy, even if we don't want to consider the unpredictability of the further development of the war in Ukraine.
But there are also good developments. Not least because of the war mentioned polithic solidarity and cohesion in Europe are clearly strengthened. We can take this as an opportunity to strengthen our community on this continent in the 2.4mR. That's what we're trying to do with that European Circuit.
