From today the days will be longer again. This is some of the good news for us among all the depressing, threatening and disruptive news that reaches us every day. We in West, North, Central and Southern Europe continue to live in peaceful, economically secure conditions, even though we are faced with energy shortages, inflation and lower economic growth. The situation is different in Ukraine, but also in parts of Africa. Death, destruction, cold, hunger and thirst reigns there.
We, who are better off, confidently look forward together to spring, which will come into sight as night falls. And of course, as 2.4mR sailors, we look forward to the first few days when we can sit in the boat again and enjoy our hobby. Also the first regatta of the European Circuit is getting a little closer. Only 137 days (!) until the first start in the Open de France.
But before that, something to smile about
We're finally over the hill, the days are getting longerger – now follow some holidays that belong to the family. We tell each other the good stories and plan and make appointments for the coming year. Then the boat in Düsseldorf will be open, for which we will be active again for our class - and therefore also for sailing together with friends!
