<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The regatta took place in changeable weather on 23–24 May 2026. All entrants except Sven Asklund turned up at the start, so even though only Haktor had come from Norway, there were 15 boats on the line.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Saturday began with a south-westerly breeze. Two races were completed in Ljungskileviken before lunch and the expected passage of a weather front bringing rain. Hans Asklund was in fine form as usual and took the lead with a consistent series of 3, 2, 3, 1. Of our Nordic neighbours, Frank Nielsen surprised everyone by finishing in the top third and clinched second place in the second race to great cheers. Niels Ulstrup clinched third place in the third race and also performed well.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hasse Malmsten, in his capacity as regatta manager, was sent off by the head chef in the afternoon to organise drinks for the dinner, which affected both his results and his concentration. However, a 2nd and 7th place in the morning showed that the old wooden boat SWE 234 from 1992 is still competitive.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As usual, Sven-Erik organised a fantastic regatta dinner in the evening after the annual meeting had been concluded in good order.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By Sunday, the wind had veered right and shifted to the north-west, so the course was set off Ulvön. In winds that varied greatly in strength (4–8 m/s) and sunshine, we sailed three races.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hans Asklund consolidated his lead with a solid series and finished with a first place, becoming a worthy winner. Klas Andersson came second with a consistent series, his worst result being a sixth place. Frank Nielsen (DK) had his best regatta to date and finished third. Fourth place, the Report Prize, went to Mats Komstedt.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Calle Ossiansson Memorial Prize went to Hans Asklund and the Rookie Prize went to Max Davidsson, who sailed his first 2.4mR ranking regatta with his newly purchased boat to great acclaim.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Mats Komstedt, SWE 457</strong>, winner of the Report Trophy</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After last year&#8217;s hiatus, it was a great pleasure to welcome five nations (Austria, France, Germany, Gibraltar and the Netherlands) with 19 sailors to the 11th Saar-Lor-Lux Regatta hosted by the Yacht-Club Saarbrücken – a very respectable turnout, especially given that THREE other A4E regattas were taking place simultaneously in England, Sweden and Austria.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This regatta also coincided with a record-breaking high-pressure system over Europe, bringing temperatures up to 30 degrees… (in the shade!) and the wind conditions to match.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8484" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5010-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The day before, boats were prepared and a few hopefuls ventured out onto the mirror-flat water in a vain attempt to gauge the wind direction, before paddling back to the harbour.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8483" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/23052026-IMG_4948-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All the nicer, then, was the first evening, when participants and partners gathered for a convivial dinner at the excellent club restaurant and, dressed in T-shirts and shorts, enjoyed Saarland-African cuisine well into the night – not to mention the freshly tapped local beer. The notorious Jägermeister cooling machine was, mercifully, still in preparation!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The first official day of racing began with a generous breakfast lovingly prepared with much help and care… followed by a pre-regatta lunch… a we&#8217;re-waiting-for-wind coffee break… a hope-dies-last afternoon cake… and finally, in the late afternoon, the first oh-well-never-mind beer! The wind gods refused to break through the heat, and the following days didn&#8217;t look any more promising.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8485" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/24052026-IMG_5014-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So the Jägermeister cooling machine arrived with the fury of a wrathful Zeus – right on cue! That evening, we gathered for the welcome reception at the rustic Bosen sailing club, with Rhineland-Palatinate champagne, beer, wine and good cheer, followed by an assembly-line dispensing of Jägermeisters to all who took part in the Team Photo Challenge. Winners and losers alike had to take their punishment – only one driver with three children was graciously excused!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Saturday morning, Lake Bostal was giving the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles a run for its money, and among the 19 participants there were roughly 19 different theories on how the wind would develop. The only one who calmly headed out to sea on the committee boat was our intrepid race officer Achim Müller. Having sold his soul to the wind gods once and for all, the wind did indeed arrive – and brought us not one, not two, but five races! All in 20 minutes! Well, that&#8217;s how it felt, anyway, because Achim was starting one race after another as though he hadn&#8217;t sold his soul to the wind gods at all, but to the wind devil himself! Despite the Lake Bostal-typical wind shifts of 30 to 60 degrees, there were always exciting and fair upwind legs – and less fair downwind legs, where six or seven places could be lost (or gained!) in an instant, as the boat just 3 metres to your right shot past as if on rails – certainly faster than Deutsche Bahn!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8486" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-9975D667-1A97-43E1-A9EE-80B40262C103-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After a successful day on the water, the hard work was rewarded with another evening at the Bosen clubhouse – &#8220;same procedure as every year!&#8221; There was even more celebrating this time, because tonight we had truly earned our food and drink! The teams tried their hand at a very entertaining memory game that conjured up many fond memories of past regattas and situations. A heartfelt thank you here once again to Manuela and Gaby for the idea, organisation and hosting – and all in three languages!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Sunday morning the water was once again as smooth as an Olympic ice-stock competition! But the ever-optimistic Achim was already out on the water by 11, laying the marks and effectively forcing us out there too… and the wind came… wanted to come… and then was gone. But thanks to a shortened course, a final, sixth race was completed, fraying nerves and producing some interesting results – especially for the four boats that happened upon the 3-metre-wide strip of wind on the top-left of the course (the four of them naturally claimed to have seen it coming…).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8487" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/26052026-C7FD8E4C-0FDB-46E9-9081-3A12199BAFDD-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This shuffled the results at the top once more, and Hendrik Oberheid took the win – a fantastic achievement, given that he only joined the 2.4m class around two years ago. Second and third place went to our light-air specialists from the Seine: Loïc Eonnet and Christophe Etorre! A great performance and hats off in such tricky wind conditions!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="705" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-1024x705.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8482" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-1024x705.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-300x207.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-768x529.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-1536x1058.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-25-SaarLorLux-Gewinner-2048x1410.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the prize-giving there were, as at all A4E events, wonderful prizes thanks to our generous sponsors – Clown Sails, DEG and VELUX.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Once again, it was a great success, and another huge thank you to Michael Jakobs, who &#8220;delivered&#8221; yet again! Brilliant!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before the start of this year’s Toulon-Provence Regatta, we took the opportunity to spend a week’s holiday in Le Lavandou. The focus was on relaxation and exploring the beautiful surroundings along the French Mediterranean coast. For me personally, the Côte d’Azur has held a special place in my heart for many decades. I have been spending several weeks in Le Lavandou regularly for over 30 years and now know the region almost as well as my second home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 2026 Toulon-Provence Regatta finally got underway on 7 May and ran until 10 May. A total of 25 boats from five nations took to the water, creating a strong, international field of competitors.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A total of eight races were held over the four days of the regatta. The sailors faced a wide variety of conditions: mainly sunny weather, changing wind conditions ranging from light to strong winds, and varying sea states – from calm waters to high waves. As a result, the races were very demanding both tactically and in terms of sailing ability.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="689" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-1024x689.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8472" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-1024x689.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-768x516.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-1536x1033.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-05-10-Martin-Pescoe-in-strong-waves-2048x1377.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Martin Pescoe in high waves</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As well as the sporting challenges, the social programme was also a highlight. As in previous years, evenings spent together enjoying excellent food and drink created a wonderful atmosphere amongst the participants. The traditional evening in the old town on Saturday once again provided the perfect finale to the event.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In sporting terms, Megan Pascoe from Great Britain came out on top and won the regatta. Second place went to Janos Libor from Gibraltar, followed by Benoit Melen from France in third place. Congratulations once again to the winners.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For me personally, the regatta unfortunately didn’t go quite as well as last year, when I managed to finish third. In the end, I finished fifth this year, but I was inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’ for the second time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>After 2025 in Toulon it wasn&#8217;t a hard decision for the 2.4 fleet to head down south for 2026. Racing with 12mRs is special. For a lot of our fleet the 12s were their America&#8217;s Cup so to be able to race on the same bit of water is one of those moments in sailing.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="576" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/07052026-IMG_4715-768x576-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8414" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/07052026-IMG_4715-768x576-1.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/07052026-IMG_4715-768x576-1-300x225.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event is in its third year starting with when the Olympic Torch came to Toulon in 2024. The event is bigger and better and keeps growing. Along with the Metric boats there is a classic fleet, 1 metre radio controlled sailing, AI controlled sailing yachts. On land 1400 people visited the 12s. I&#8217;m not sure we make that at a boat show. There was a full race village and a chance to try out lots of watersports.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So what was the 2.4 racing like. We had 25 boats from 6 countries. Toulon can be a tricky bay to set a course but Gil Bernabeau did a great job laying the course. Friday was proper shorts and T-shirts sailing which anyone who knows 2.4s understand that it is quite rare. It was incredibly tight racing in light winds and some big shifts. Over the 4 races Michael Tiemann, Germany and Christophe Ettore, France were making the early running just behind Megan Pascoe, Great Britain.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="513" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028840-768x513-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8415" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028840-768x513-1.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028840-768x513-1-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Saturday saw an easterly front coming through so we had a nice 18 knots with quite a disturbed sea. It was quite distracting sail as our windward mark was very close to the 12mR start line. I know the 12s aren&#8217;t as big as the J Class but watching 6 of them sail is something else. With a bit of breeze Benoit Melon, France and Janos Libor, Gibraltar were the quickest behind Megan. It was a great 3 races, the Med really isn&#8217;t a bad place to go for a sail.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="576" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028665-768x576-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8418" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028665-768x576-1.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/09052026-P1028665-768x576-1-300x225.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sunday was a strange day with a big sea from the east but with a dying breeze. We had an half hour postponement which meant we could make it easily through the sea wall. I was happy for the Vakaros as finding the pin end was tricky. Megan got away from the fleet. The second lap behind seemed a great battle. Paddy Hassett, Ireland and Micheal Jakobs, Germany found their form finishing 4th and 5th respectively.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="366" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/P1038929-768x366-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8417" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/P1038929-768x366-2.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/P1038929-768x366-2-300x143.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After one race Gil decided that in the dying breeze that home was the best option. The shore team lead by Louis-Marie Zeromski were amazing all event especially during craning where everyone was packed up in record time. There were over 150 volunteers at the event and it shows you can&#8217;t run these events without them. We are lucky as a fleet to have the French 2.4 class and the organisers of the event making sure everything works for us. One amazing volunteer we have to thank is Patsy who does all our translating and so much organising.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Being a metre boat is a little old school. We&#8217;re not quick but having so many different sizes of boats makes it a truly unique club to be part of. The fact the 12s come from every era of sailing make them so special to watch.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Next for the 2.4 fleet we are heading to Poole Keelboat Regatta over the Bank Holiday. Worlds are in Sneek in the Netherlands in early July.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Megan Pascoe &#8211; GBR173. Winner of the regatta</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/yysw566261-768x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8284" style="aspect-ratio:0.7500082877507045;width:209px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/yysw566261-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/yysw566261-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/yysw566261.jpg 800w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Toulon Provence Regatta 2026 is proud to be officially recognised as part of the 400th anniversary of the French Navy. This prestigious label underlines commitment to promoting maritime heritage and naval excellence in the heart of Europe&#8217;s most beautiful harbour.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For its third edition, the Toulon Provence Regatta will be held from&nbsp;7 to 10 May 2026, in the heart of Toulon&#8217;s harbour.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A major sporting and maritime event, The regatta brings together exceptional classic and modern sailing yachts that bear witness to the Frenchnational and international nautical heritage. Some of these legendary yachts have made history by taking part in the’America&#8217;s Cup, In this way, the regatta has become part of the great tradition of international competitions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Toulon Provence Regatta&nbsp;brings together all the yachts in the international metric class: 2.4, 5.5, 6, 8, 10 and 12M JI, offering a&nbsp;splendid view of the Mediterranean.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On 9 May, an eagerly-awaited highlight will round off the programme: the&nbsp;BattleBoats, an innovative regatta featuring sailing drones, combining sportsmanship, conviviality and modernity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This year, Toulon will be even more vibrant as the city celebrates 400 years of the Navy.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8248" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image.jpg 1800w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For four days, Toulon will be alive with regattas, events and meetings:</p>

</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Last year the 2.4 fleet had 3 great days of racing (and 1 day lost due to too much wind). The wind was good and the sun was shining for the 3 days we got on the water. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-8251" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-1-1.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

A crane was brought in to lift in the boats that could not be launched using the slipway.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-1024x768.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-8220" style="width:491px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4360-1-2048x1536.jpeg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the majority of Friday there was no wind so the decision was made not to proceed with the day’s racing. The wind did pick up later in the afternoon but by the time it came it was too late to do any racing, though many did take the opportunity to do some practice on the water including some mock racing. Though this did not stop the after sailing celebrations including beer and dinner in the club from proceeding as planned.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-1024x768.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-8219" style="width:399px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_4422-1-2048x1536.jpeg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>On Saturday the wind was much stronger with gusts of approximately 25 knots maximum creating a short chop on the water. This allowed for 6 races to be sailed to make up for the lost races from the day before with a break for lunch at the club after 3 races. The leaders were soon being established in the increased breeze. Again the days sailing was followed by refreshments and dinner at the club. On Sunday the wind was a lot lighter (about 10-15 knots) and 2 more races were sailed. A third was planned for the day but sadly there was not enough time after the second race was finished. Upon returning to shore the boats were de-rigged and craned back out of the water and a lunch bag was provided for everyone.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1-768x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-8218" style="aspect-ratio:0.7500053267423774;width:380px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/IMG_0153-1.jpeg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>The majority of the races were won by Urs, with Loic and Niels also winning races. The overall results of the regatta saw Urs in first place, followed by Frank and then Loic.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="745" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3-1024x745.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7651" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3-1024x745.jpg 1024w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3-300x218.jpg 300w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3-768x559.jpg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3-1536x1118.jpg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2026-03-08-Sieger-Thibault-Vandrot-2-Megan-Pescoe-1-Martin-Koller-3.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">2.

</div>

<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz-768x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-7348" style="width:auto;height:800px" srcset="https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https://www.2point4.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/2026-02-02-Report-Trophy-auf-Holz.jpeg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Report Trophy ab 2026</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wir sind sicher, dass diese neue Trophy genauso viel Freude bereitet und natürlich kommt der Sieger auch weiterhin in die virtuelle <a href="https://www.2point4.eu/report-hall-of-fame-2/" data-type="page" data-id="7352" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hall of Fame</a> auf dieser Webseite.</p>
